I ran a lot in my 20s and eventually stopped because of knee pain. Fast forward 10 years, I have gotten stronger from boot camp and started running again but the pain has returned. Finally saw a doctor who introduced me to Iliotibial Band Syndrome. Besides rest, elevation and ice I am going to try some stretching and using a compression wrap above my kneecap when running. We'll see how it goes!
