Trochanteric bursitis. Commonly, patients will have tightness in the hip flexor, quadriceps muscles and IT band. Stretching is beneficial to improve biomechanics and movement patterns. Improve control and muscle endurance of the gluteus medius muscle. Do lunges or step-downs/ups in front of a full-length mirror. Keep hips level and learn to not let the hip drop while in single leg stance.
